I learned about Align through my naturopath doctor who had other clients have success with it. I chose to train with a Kinesiologist because I have had lower back issues for a number of years and have tried numerous things to help recover, including physio, osteopath, doctor, etc. This seemed to be something that I hadn't yet tried. After a few months of working with Julie, I have been able to do more walking without the recurring back issues. I have been able to learn exactly what has caused my lower back issues and how I am able to strengthen the correct muscles and how to move properly in order to avoid further issues. I continue to train as it gives me the motivation to continue the exercises. Also, it helps to have someone assess my movements and keep them in check.
I was referred by a fitness professional and began working with my Kinesiologist in December 2018. Julie has made me aware that I don't have to experience pain everyday! I have had low back and hip pain for more than 25 years, so to be taught that by moving my body correctly I can move without pain is LIFE changing for me! Julie is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely wants to help each client. During each session, Julie constantly assesses my body and movements and introduces exercises, rolling techniques and stretches to decrease my pain and to encourage my body to more freely and properly.

There is a teaching component to all sessions to ensure full understanding of technique required to complete the exercise correctly and safely. Communication between the client and Kinesiologist is of the upmost importance to improve movement patterns.
